Get The Best From The Library
I’d always had the idea of creating an online treasure trove of practices that you could dip into any time you pleased.
It would be a resource where you’d be able to choose your class according how much time you had and how you felt.
Well my endless procrastination came to an abrupt end with Covid and the events of 2020. I was pushed into bringing that idea into reality - and the result is your Members’ Library. Over the years it’s grown and currently stands at more than 600 practices.
Here’s how to get the best from the Library….
DECIDE ON TIME - if you’re short on time head straight to the Quickies. The longest practice in there is 40 minutes and most are 30 minutes or less.
CHOOSE FROM CURATED COLLECTIONS - do you need something upbeat and challenging? Gentle and flowing? Or relaxing and revitalising? The quickest route is to search by class type - Mindful, Dynamic or Restorative. Click on the square and they’ll all appear in chronological order.
SEARCH USING KEY WORDS - feeling exhausted and in need of an energy boost? Feeling frazzled and need some soothing? Search using the tags. Type the kind of energy you’d like to receive in the search bar and a selection will pop up. Key words to try might be ‘Uplifting’, ‘Soothing’, ‘Grounding’….
MAKE IT RELEVANT - Looking for something that feels right for this time of year? Decide what type of class you want and scroll down through the older posts until you get to this month either one, two, three or four years ago. You can also search using key words e.g. ‘Solstice’, ‘Seasons’, ‘Equinox’…
CREATE A CHALLENGE - Create your own challenge. Tight hips? Do a class from the Hips & Hamstrings section for seven consecutive days. Feeling scattered? Do the same using the Focus section. Looking to explore different breathing techniques? You’ll find them all in Breathe & Meditate. Or take a seven day journey through the Chakras in Chakras & Wisdom.
BACK TO BASICS - Fallen into some bad habits, or simply want to work slowly and with more focus on the foundations? Head to Quickies where you’ll find a 20 Day Back To Basics Challenge. Make sure you start at Day 1!
JUST DO IT! - If you’re anything like me, you’ll spend as much time choosing a class as you do actually doing it 😂 so the trick is to pick a section and just do the most recent one.
I’d love to know how you use the Library! Do you have favourites that you return to over and over? Or do you always practice the most recent classes?
