The Monthly Roundup - January
Hello and welcome to a new series! Each month I'll share a roundup of what I'm reading, watching, using and loving. Read about my January faves here..
1 Learning...
I’m a huge fan of The School of Life books and so this month I signed up for their app. It’s a treasure chest of articles, podcasts, quotes, videos across topics like calm. sociability, self-knowledge and relationships. It’s not free, so you could always dip a toe in the water with their newsletter which gives limited access to their resources.
2 Reading...
I’ve always adored Mary Oliver’s poems and now I’m loving Upstream, a collection of essays and an absolute gem.
3 Using...
Feeling the money pinch? To help create more awareness around my financial habits, I’m using Kakebo, The Japanese Art of Saving Money. It’s a calm and yogic-feeling way to keep track of the incomings and outgoings. Pleasingly laid out, easy to use and an excellent alternative to those who are spreadsheet averse! (with thanks to Tribe member Sally for the recommendation)
4 Loving...
Walking on Wimbledon Common. As always, being outside in Nature such an important anchor for me - easy on the eyes and gentle on the ears. The recent cold frosty days with that bright winter sunshine have been the perfect combination to soothe my soul and uplift my spirits.
5 Watching...
An iphone update got me a free subscription to Apple TV for a while, so I’m making the most of it. I’ve loved Ted Lasso, The Morning Show, WeCrashed, Bad Sisters, Severance and Slow Horses and there’s much more lined up in my watch list…
What are you loving this month?
